The idea for “CRY FOR PEACE CHILD” came about when Andrea heard the harrowing story of a mother who brought her two injured children to a hospital that was dangerously short of medication. One of the two children with severe injuries had to have an amputation with no pain relief, while his mother and brother watched helplessly.

As Andrea, himself a father of two young children, reflected on this tragic scenario, he felt an overwhelming urge to write a song expressing the pain and suffering caused by war.

With this single and its heavy instrumentation, De Luca offers a musical outcry against all forms of war and the innocent victims it causes, where children are the main “losers”.
